Kansai Region 吃瓜爆料 is a website that introduces information about Kansai Region (Osaka Prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, Kyoto Prefecture, Shiga Prefecture, Nara Prefecture, Wakayama Prefecture) in a directory format. This site provides information about restaurants, stores, companies, organizations, exhibitions events, famous sightseeing spots, demonstration experiments. It is an information site that supports the Kansai Region’s local community by providing information. Now, we are looking for volunteers to work with us! 日本語は です。
Population and GDP
The Kansai region, which consists of Osaka, Hyogo, Kyoto, Shiga, Nara, and Wakayama prefectures, is divided into seven regions in Japan (Kanto region, Tohoku & Hokkaido region, Chubu region, Kansai region, Chugoku region, Shikoku region, Kyushu & Okinawa region), population and GDP (Prefectural Economic Accounts) is the third largest after Kanto region and Chubu region.
It accounts for 16.3% (20,527,000) of Japan’s total population (126,167,000), and the GDP of the Kansai region is 83,650,270,000,000 yen. It accounts for 15.2% of 10 million yen. In terms of tourism, the total number of visitors to the Kansai region, a domestic travel destination in 2019, was 144.65 million, accounting for 17% of the total number of visitors nationwide of 853.23 million. The number of foreign visitors is 25.649 million, accounting for 34.1% of the national total (75.321 million).
