Kanto Region ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ is a website that introduces information about Kanto region (Tokyo Metro., Kanagawa Prefecture, Saitama Prefecture, Chiba Prefecture, Ibaraki Prefecture, Gunma Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture) in a directory format. This site provides information about restaurants, stores, companies, organizations, exhibitions events, famous sightseeing spots, demonstration experiments. The Kanto region, consisting of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma prefectures, is divided into seven regions in Japan (Kanto, Tohoku/Hokkaido, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku region, Shikoku region, and Kyushu/Okinawa region), it has the highest population and GDP, accounts for 40% of the nation’s economy, and can be said to be the brain or engine that drives the Japanese economy.

The Kanto region accounts for 34.4% (43,464,000) of Japan’s total population (126,167,000), with a GDP of 214,482,973,000,000 yen. This accounts for 39.0% of Japan’s national GDP of 549,588,053,000,000 yen. It is also larger than the GDP of Italy and Brazil in the same year, and slightly inferior to India’s.

Regarding tourism in the Kanto region, the total number of visitors to the Kanto region, a domestic travel destination in 2019, was 237.91 million, accounting for 27.9% of the total number of visitors nationwide of 853.23 million.
